Fully Printed Organic Phototransistor Array with High Photoresponse and Low Power

Organic phototransistors (OPTs) as optical chemical sensors have progressed excitingly in recent years, mainly due to the development of new materials, device structures, and interfacial engineering. Exploiting maximum potential low-cost high-throughput fabrication organic electronics optoelectronics requires devices that can be manufactured a fully printed way also low operation voltage. In this work, we demonstrate process enables realization high-yield (~90%) low-voltage OPT array. By solution printing high-quality crystalline thin film on pre-printed electrodes, create van der Waals contact between metal semiconductor, resulting small subthreshold swing 445 mV dec−1 with signal amplification efficiency over 5.58 S A−1. Our OPTs thus exhibit both voltage −1 V high photosensitivity 5.7 × 105, making these suitable for range applications requiring power consumption. We further capability array imaging show contrasts. These results indicate our may provide an entry into integrated low-power optoelectronic circuits fabricated by scalable cost-effective methods real-world applications.
